Lauren Alexandra Colby

Lauren Alexandra Colby, age 8, born October 10, 1998, died Friday, July 27, 2007 at the Rainbow Babies Hospital in Cleveland, OH following a long illness. Lauren is survived by her parents, Rick and Trish Colby; sisters, Ashley and Rachel Colby, all of Dublin.

Lauren Colby was a unique human being who blazed like a comet during her short time on earth. She was a daily inspiration, a living ray of sunshine who warmed all hearts and touched the lives of so many people.

Her brief life was full of love and goodness and served as an example of the power of the human spirit to overcome great odds. Lauren loved making people laugh and feel better. She was kind and charitable, always giving out candy and  goodies to other children. She had beautiful blue eyes, a tremendous sense of humor and incandescent smile that lit up any room. She loved mom, dad, and sisters, Ashley and Rachel. She loved ballet and cheerleading, her cat, Smoky, ordering pizza from Donato's, playing with Polly Pockets, movie nights at home, Eli Pinney School, birthday parties, holidays, watching cartoons, listening to music, singing, doing art projects, Saturday's with dad at Tim Horton's, and feeding deer in our backyard. She was a joy to live with and to anyone who knew her.

The Colby family thanks the many people who helped Lauren and our family.
